Your first hour
Short on time? This is the route from fresh spawn to your own base.
- Spawn armedEvery new spawn starts with a faction rifle and a few spare magazines. Enough to get you to your first loot run.
- Loot your way upTowns give you ammo for your start rifle, optics and backpacks. Then push up the ladder: police and fire stations, offices and villas, and finally the big military bases, where the best weapons spawn. Looting →
- Sell at a traderTurn surplus gear into cash and buy what you're missing: ammo, attachments, clothing, building supplies.
- Get a rideAn S105 costs 6,000 and is yours for good. Or clear an AI mission and claim its vehicle for free. Vehicles →
- Plant your flagPlace a Build Flag, set a 4-digit code and drop a safe. Your loot now survives restarts. Base building →
Looting
Where you search decides how good the loot is. What you search decides what's inside.
The whole island is lootable, not just the bases. Where you search decides how good the loot is, and the further up the ladder you go, the better the odds on serious weapons and gear.
Where: the loot ladder
What: every container has a purpose
| Search this | For this |
|---|---|
| Safes | Always a weapon with ammo |
| Weapon racks and lockers | Weapons, ammo, attachments, uniforms, vests, helmets and backpacks |
| Wardrobes, dressers, suitcases and tents | Clothing and bags |
| First aid boxes and medical cabinets | Meds |
| Workbenches, crates and shelving | Tools and equipment |
| Bins | Hit and miss, but quick to check |
| Everything else cupboards, desks, kitchens | A bit of anything |
What to grab first
- Ammo for your start rifle. Spare M16A2, AK-74 and VZ58 magazines spawn loose in towns, so you don't need to hit a base just to stay topped up.
- A backpack. More carry space means more of what you find actually makes it back to a trader or your base instead of getting left on the ground. The big ones (ALICE, Kolobok, IIFS Field Pack) are rarer finds.
- An optic. Start rifles come without one, and towns are a good place to fix that before you push into military ground.
Rarity on top of the ladder
Inside every tier, items also have their own rarity. Basic kit, clothing and ammo turn up constantly, better weapons and quality packs are rare, and the top-tier weapons are very rare even on the big bases. Every so often a container rolls as a jackpot and holds about three times its normal value, so it pays to open everything on your route.
Vehicles & persistence
Buy a vehicle at the trader and it's genuinely yours, not a lucky find that disappears at the next restart.

|---|---|
| Vehicle trader | |
| S105 car | 6,000 |
| UAZ-469 jeep | 15,000 |

| M151A2 + M2HB armed jeep | 20,000 |
| M1025 + M2HB armed Humvee | 28,000 |
| BRDM-2 armored recon | 45,000 |
| BTR-70 APC | 60,000 |
| LAV-25 IFV | 85,000 |

What survives a restart
✓ Persists
Ownership, fuel level, damage state, cargo and inventory, lights and attachment slots. Log back in tomorrow and it's where you left it, in the same condition.
✗ Not yet
Turret ammo count and aim direction on armed vehicles, and the Construction Truck's loaded supply count. Both reset on a restart, so plan around it.
Repair & rearm: the Service Station
Took a beating, or ran your guns dry? Head for a Service Station: a helipad marked in orange on your map. Drive or fly onto it and a hint pops up as soon as you're in range. Everything there is paid from your wallet, and the price is shown on the action itself before you commit, so there are no surprises.
Fix it up
Hold a repair wrench and use the repair actions on the damaged parts. The price scales with what the vehicle is worth: repairing a complete wreck back to full health costs about 20% of its trader price, and smaller fixes cost proportionally less.
So patching up an S105 is pocket change, while bringing a wrecked BTR-70 back costs up to around 12,000.
Reload the heavy guns
Refill your vehicle weapons straight from the station, paid per round: 3 per machine-gun round and 10 per autocannon round. A full 150-round belt for the LAV-25's 25mm cannon costs 1,500.
The 25mm can only be reloaded here. Machine guns can also be fed with ammo boxes from the vehicle trader (see below).
| Ammo box | Price |
|---|---|
| 12.7mm M2 M151A2, M1025 | 400 |
| 7.62mm M240 coax LAV-25 | 525 |
| 14.5mm KPVT BTR-70, BRDM-2 | 300 |
| 7.62mm PKT BTR-70, BRDM-2 | 650 |
Claim a mission vehicle
Stay near a vehicle tied to an active AI mission and it becomes yours too, with the same persistence as one bought outright.
Base building
Two separate systems, two different jobs. Most players end up using both.
Kodiis
Place a Build Flag to claim the ground and lock it with a 4-digit code. Build up with Base Plans, planks and nails, add a Build Share so your squad can get in too, and drop a Secure Safe or Storage Box for storage that survives a restart.
It can be raided: enough explosives will breach a locked door or wall. An abandoned base with no activity clears itself out after 5 days, so the map doesn't fill up with ghost bases.
Construction Truck
Buy one (15,000) at the vehicle trader, load it with building supplies, drive it to a spot and use Start Building for a radial menu: sandbag walls, bunkers, MG nests, watchtowers, camo nets, barricades and HESCO barriers.
Each piece costs supplies from the truck's load, and you get them back if you take a piece down again. What you build survives a server restart.
Use them together: Kodiis for a secure home base with a vault for your loot, the Construction Truck to fortify the approach to it, or to throw up cover fast in the field without needing to own the ground under it.
Getting started with Kodiis
Buy what you need from the trader's Base Building category, or find pieces of it as loot (a Secure Safe especially is a genuine rare find):
- Planks and Nails: your raw materials. Nails need to be unpacked before they work: drop the crate on the ground and open it, don't carry it around sealed.
- Build Flag: place it to claim the ground as your territory, then set a 4-digit code. This is your base's lock.
- Base Plans: combined with planks and unpacked nails, this is what actually lets you build walls, floors and the rest.
- Build Share: place it so squadmates can build and get in too, not just you.
- Secure Safe or Storage Box: locked storage that survives a restart.
Funding it: the Salvage Point
Defeated bandits carry valuables: MRE cases, ammo boxes, radios, surgical kits and more, worth anywhere from 30 to 250 supplies each. Bring them to a Salvage Point (dark green marker on the map) with a supply-capable vehicle nearby, like your Construction Truck, and trade them in for building supplies. A second income for your build besides hauling planks and nails back by hand.
